Update **** It’s been a year now and the blender works great! Still enjoying fresh smoothies and the power of the blender is going strong :). It’s also easy to clean with a wet sponge and a little bit of soap. I like how compact this blender is and easily fits into small spaces if you don’t have a lot of kitchen space. It also comes with a glass bottle and infuser you can use to hold your smoothie or water. It literally takes only 2 minutes for me to blend everything together. I have been using it since I bought it last month and enjoy making smoothies twice a day. I was skeptical, but when I blended my frozen fruits with all the ingredients for my s moothie, the blender is very powerful and you are able to either select pulse or blend for a whole minute to get less thick texture of the smoothie. I was excited to try this out considering I’ve seen many ads or commercials about this product on my social media. I’ve never owned anything like this before. In my latest smoothie phase, I found myself using this blender multiple times a week, and it has stayed just as powerful as the first time I used it. But a $155 blender feels quite reasonable, and it's comparable to models from Nutribullet and other high-quality blender brands. Perhaps I was just jaded after seeing hoards of average “midcentury modern” (first of all, no) dining chairs that cost more than my biweekly paycheck, or constantly checking to see if Ninja and Vitamix blenders went on sale.
I was honestly quite surprised to learn that the blender itself cost $155-or $185 with the hydration set (more on that later).
